William (Bill) E. RobertsAmerican, 1914 - 1978

As noted in the Encyclopedia of Cleveland History, William (Bill) e. Roberts spent his career in the art department of The Cleveland Press as the paper's editorial cartoonist. He grew up in Cleveland, and joined the Press after graduating from West High School in 1932, while pursuing art lessons at the John Huntington Polytechnic Institute under instructors Paul Travis and Willard Combs.
