Physical DescriptionA colorful "postage stamp" quilt features a variety of fabric squares. A small white shirt and yellow booties are attached to the upper proper right corner. Purple fabric borders the design and displays horizontal black text on the top and bottom.Historical NoteShirley Peck-Barnes of Denver, Colorado, made this quilt in 2000. In 1975, she was a hospital administrator who cared for children involved in Operation Babylift. The “postage stamp” pattern quilt is made from scraps of clothing worn by children who came to the U.S. during rescue efforts. Peck-Barnes gifted sister quilts to World Airways and the People of the Republic of Vietnam. Additional Details
