Physical DescriptionA silver sculpture depicts two figures. One is positioned near the lower end of a diagonally slanted rock and the other is falling backwards off the highest end. It is affixed to a rectangular orange marble base.Historical NoteIsraeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin gifted this sculpture to President Gerald R. Ford. It was made by American-Israeli sculpture Yaacov Heller, who is known for his sculptures with Biblical themes, like this piece which depicts the story of David and Goliath.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteA foreign official gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was presented to him and was maintained at the Executive Office of the President until its transfer to the National Archives in 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
