Physical DescriptionA white bowl features a band of men wearing colonial clothing as they march down a lively, busy street. Along the bottom of the image, a small scroll displays black text. Thin golden borders decorate the rim and foot of the bowl.
Historical NoteThis bowl features an image of Normal Rockwell’s painting Yankee Doodle. The bowl was gifted to President Ford in 1976 and is one of 9,800 bowls produced by Gorham Fine China.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in September, 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
