Physical Description(a,b) A floor-length white A-line style chiffon gown displays a blue and green floral print throughout the fabric. It has a scoop neckline and long flowing sleeves. A white opaque sleeveless dress is worn underneath it. (c) A wide white belt displays a blue and green floral print and fastens with a round buckle.
Historical NoteBetty Ford wore this dress during her time as First Lady, including at a state dinner honoring President Valery Giscard d'Estaing and his wife, Anne-Aymone Giscard d'Estaing, of France on May 17, 1976, and a state dinner honoring Prime Minister Malcom Fraser and his wife, Tamara Fraser, of Australia on July 27, 1976.Additional Details
