Physical Description(a) Bronze medal attached to red, white, and blue ribbon. Obverse side of medal depicts the Statue of Liberty, "1776" and "1976" are engraved on the proper right and proper left sides. Reverse depicts Federal Eagle and an inscription.

Custodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to President Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in September 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
