Physical DescriptionMetal license plate. Center of plate features red and white stripes, border is blue with white stars. Brown eagle with wings spread is featured at center of plate, with "1776" written on proper right side of eagle and "1976" on proper left side. "Bicentennial" is written in white against the blue border at top of plate.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to President Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in September 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
