(b) A silver medallion features a raised image of the state of Virginia bordered by curved text.
(c) A blue box is lined with white fabric on the interior of the lid, and the bottom portion is cushioned with blue fabric. The bicentennial logo is displayed on the white fabric in the center of the lid.

Custodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to First Lady Betty Ford and President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was maintained at the Executive Office of the President until its transfer to the National Archives in September 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
