Physical DescriptionA rectangular transparent paperweight features a metal decoration. It depicts two lions standing on their hind legs with a blue shield between them. Each lion clasps a bottle in a raised paw. A crown decorated with two red stones is positioned above two blue curved shapes at the top of the decoration. The paperweight is supported by a black base.Historical NoteJ. Chester Stern, Senior Information Officer of New Scotlant Yard, London, England, gifted this paperweight to President Gerald Ford in June 1975.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteA foreign official gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
