Physical DescriptionA round bronze medal displays a raised image of two soldiers in an outdoor setting. Raised curvy text is above them. The medal is suspended from a round metal loop that hangs from a vertically-striped yellow, white, red, and black ribbon.Historical NoteHarry Brohen returned these service medals to President Gerald R. Ford on September 18, 1974. They belonged to Philip Brohen, Harry’s deceased brother who served in World War II and the Korean War. Returning the medals was an act of political protest following Ford's decision to grant clemency to draft evaders.Additional Details
