Physical DescriptionNeutral-colored shapes made of tile decorate a metal plate's plaster-covered surface. In the center, a small square golden plaque displays rows of horizontal engraved text.Historical NotePresident Gerald R. Ford received this plate in 1976, while campaigning in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. On April 2nd and 3rd 1976 Gerald R. Ford went on a campaign trip to Wisconsin where he visited Milwaukee, West Bend, Campbellsport, Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, and Green Bay. At many of these locations, Ford gave speeches and addressed the press.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in September 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
