Physical DescriptionA blue monochromatic image depicts snow-covered hills occupied by three crucified men. A figure seated in a tractor plows the field in the foreground. Blue curvy text is below the image.
Historical NoteThe image on this plate was painted by Frances Middendorf, the daughter of Secretary of the Navy J. William Middendorf. This item was received by E. MacBeth and Neil Yates on December 19, 1975. The item was then transferred to the White House Gift Unit on the same day.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in September 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
