Physical DescriptionA plate features an image of a receding snow-covered sidewalk lined with houses and dead trees. A green wreath hangs on the red door of one house, and there is an illuminated lamp on the exterior wall near it. Horizontal white text is printed along the bottom of the image.
Historical NoteThe item was sent by a member of the general public to President Gerald R. Ford and First Lady Betty Ford in December 1976. The gift included eight-six-ounce jars of assorted Smucker's preserves and jellies, and the 1976 Christmas plate.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in September 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
