Physical Description(a-q) A silver filigree tea set includes a teapot, a sugar bowl, six cup holders, six saucers with scalloped borders, and a round tray. Each piece is decorated with floral and scrollwork designs.

Historical NoteHis Excellency Sayad Gaafar M. Nimeiri, President of Sudan, gifted this tea service to President Ford during a private meeting on June 9, 1976.Additional Details

Custodial History NoteA foreign official gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
