Physical Description(a) Two side by side round depressions on a bronze medal each feature two men’s' profiles, including George Washington and President Gerald R. Ford. An oblong depression encloses raised numbers above and below the others.

(b) A square blue box is cushioned with white fabric.
Historical NoteKing Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden gifted this medal to President Gerald R. Ford to commemorate America's Bicentennial in 1976.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteA foreign official gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford and First Lady Betty Ford during the Ford Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in September 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
