Historical NoteSoviet politician Boris P. Bugayev gifted this medal to President Ford during his trip to Vladivostok to discuss arms control between the Soviet Union and the United States in November 1974.Additional Details

Custodial History NoteA foreign official gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was presented to him and was maintained at the Executive Office of the President until its transfer to the National Archives in September 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
