Historical NotePresident Gerald R. Ford received this wooden punch bowl set containing a punch bowl and twelve matching cups on June 23, 1975 from Russian Lt. General Aleksandr Belyakov, the pilot of the Soviet 1937 trans-polar flight.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteA foreign official gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was presented to him and was maintained at the Executive Office of the President until its transfer to the National Archives in 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
