Physical Description(a) An ornate gold medal with six points has a raised fleur-de-lis in the center, and it hangs from a yellow and blue ribbon. A smaller round medal with a raised image of a tiger's head is also attached to the ribbon.Overall (b) (pin) H 3/8 in x W 1 3/8 in (1 cm x 3.5 cm )

(b) A rectangular small pin covered in matching yellow and blue ribbon features a metal fleur-de-lis symbol in the center.
(c) A rectangular blue box is lined with white fabric on the interior of the lid, and the bottom portion is cushioned with red fabric.
Historical NotePark Chung-Hee, President of the Republic of Korea and Honorary President of the Boy Scouts of Korea, gifted this Boy Scouts medal to President Ford in November 1974. Fleur-de-lis insignia is the main Boy Scouts crest. The relief of a roaring tiger head, symbolizing the coveted Tiger Scout position of the BSK.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Gerald R. Ford during the Ford administration. It was personally presented to him and was maintained at the Executive Office of the President until its transfer to the National Archives in 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
