Historical NoteLiberian President William R. Tolbert, Jr. gifted this plaque to President Ford on September 21, 1976. It features Liberian minerals in the shape of the country.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteA foreign official gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was presented to him and was maintained at the Executive Office of the President until its transfer to the National Archives in 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
