Physical Description(a-b) Four round golden cuff links each feature an image of a red crown with white and green details above two large black letters. Overall (cufflinks) H 3/4 in x W 1/2 in (1.9 cm x 1.3 cm )
(c) A rectangular maroon presentation box is lined with ivory fabric on the interior of the lid. It has a black outline of a coat of arms and rows of horizontal black text printed on the center. The bottom portion is cushioned with ivory fabric.
Historical NoteQueen Elizabeth II presented this set of cuff links to President Ford's son, Jack, on July 7, 1976. She also presented a soup tureen to President Ford (1981.176), a brooch to First Lady Betty Ford (1983.29 a-c), and a makeup compact to Susan Ford (1988.971.2 a-b).Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to Jack Ford during the Ford Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in 1988 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
