Historical NoteBart Starr, head football coach of the Green Bay Packers, presented this football to President Gerald R. Ford in April 3, 1976. Ford won in Wisconsin on a campaign trip. In addition to visiting Green Bay, he visited Milwaukee, West Bend, Campbellsport, Fond du Lac, and Oshkosh.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in September, 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
