Historical NoteBetty Ford wore this dress during her time as First Lady and after, including to the Radio and TV Correspondents dinner on March 28, 1976; a reciprocal reception hosted by King Hussein of Jordan, Anderson House, and the House and Senate on March 31, 1976, and a party at the White House for election night on November 2, 1976. Designer Albert Capraro advised that Mrs. Ford wear dyed shoes, a sapphire or diamond ring, a navy-blue handbag, and square rhinestone earrings with the outfit.Additional Details
