Physical DescriptionA commemorative stamp set featuring stamps from the Royal Jersey Golf Club. The stamps are blue, red, green, and purple and feature well-known events from New Jersey’s history. The cover of the booklet is decorated in two different blue tones. A black silhouette of a golfer adorns the right side of the booklet. The left side is titled “Royal Jersey Golf Club / 1878|1978 / Jersey Post Office.” A blue and white “Scott Auction Galleries” envelope houses the entire set.
Historical NoteIn 1981, commemorative stamps were auctioned as part of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum dedication ceremonies. Unauctioned stamps, like this item, became part of the museum collection.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. He donated it to the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum in 1981.
