Physical DescriptionA blue oblong patch features a green island, red stars, a black shape, two green footprints, and a devil's head with a snake wrapped around its neck. There are two rows of horizontal yellow text above the island, and there is a line of curvy yellow text below. A yellow border encloses the design.Historical NoteThis military patch belonged to Air Force Staff Sergeant Martin Jablonski, who served as Flight Mechanic on “Jolly 42,” one of the helicopters involved in the rescue operation on Koh Tang Island following the capture of the SS Mayaguez. He received the Distinguish Flying Cross for “courageous action aided in the recovery of the SS Mayaguez and its crew.”Additional Details
