Physical Description(a) An ornate bronze cross medal is suspended from a horizontal metal bar that hangs from a vertically-striped white, blue, and red ribbon.(b) A horizontal blue metal pin displays vertical red and white stripes.
(c) Golden borders decorate the edges of a black box. The interior of the lid and the bottom portion is lined with golden fabric.
Historical NoteAir Force Staff Sergeant Martin Jablonski served as Flight Mechanic on “Jolly 42,” one of the helicopters involved in the rescue operation on Koh Tang Island following the capture of the SS Mayaguez. He received this Distinguish Flying Cross for “courageous action aided in the recovery of the SS Mayaguez and its crew.”Additional Details
