Physical Description(a) A shiny embossed image of the Distinguished Flying Cross medal is displayed above rows of horizontal black text. A golden outline of the United States Air Force's emblem is positioned between two signatures in black ink, near the bottom edge.

(b) A citation displays rows of horizontal black text above a golden seal, which is affixed to the proper ride side of the page.

(c) The cover of a horizontal blue folio displays an outline of the United States Air Force's emblem.
Historical NoteAir Force Staff Sergeant Martin Jablonski served as Flight Mechanic on “Jolly 42,” one of the helicopters involved in the rescue operation on Koh Tang Island following the capture of the SS Mayaguez. He received the Distinguish Flying Cross for “courageous action aided in the recovery of the SS Mayaguez and its crew.”Additional Details
