Physical DescriptionA square stamp feauturing an image of a red and white drum and a pair of drum sticks. There is red, horizontal text along the bottom that curves upward towards the right side of the stamp. There are two horizontal, straight, black ink marks near the top and bottom. The left edge is scalloped.
Historical NoteThis stamp is from the United States Post Office's Americana series, which was printed from 1975-1981. It came from the gifter's personal collection of bicentennial materials.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in September 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
