Physical DescriptionA square, white stamp features an image of three brown trumpets decreasing in size with the largest instrument on the left; curved, brown text borders the edge of it. There are two horizontal, straight, black ink marks near the top and bottom of the stamp. The left and right sides have scalloped edges.
Historical NoteThis stamp is from the United States Post Office's Americana series, which was printed from 1975-1981. It came from the gifter's personal collection of bicentennial materials.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in September 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
