Physical DescriptionA rectangular stamp features an image of a burning ship on the water against a dark blue sky. American Flags and a British Flag are hanging from masts. There is horizontal black text in the top, proper left corner. There is a semicircular black ink mark on the bottom, proper left corner.
Historical NoteIn 1976, Grenada produced a series of American Revolution-themed stamps to commemorate the bicentennial. This stamp came from the gifter's personal collection of bicentennial materials.Additional Details

Custodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in September 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
