Physical DescriptionA bronze hard hat features a square golden plaque engraved with rows of horizontal text on the front.Historical NoteThe general public donated the item to the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum in 1987. The hard hat was worn by Ford during a January 1987 preliminary tour of the Bob Hope Cultural Center. The center would provide a venue for theater entertainment. The center also held a "Gerald R. Ford Founder's Room," where donors could gather before a performance and view memorabilia from Ford's presidency.Additional Details
