Physical DescriptionGold embroidered details decorate a black cap. There are leaves on the bill, and the front features an eagle perched on a ship's wheel above a laurel wreath. Matching gold trim rests above the bill.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Ford during his term in office. It was personally presented to Ford and was maintained at the Executive Office of the President until its transfer to the National Archives in June, 1987 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
