Physical DescriptionA square green and white stamp feature an image of a drawing of George Washington's profile enclosed in a green circle. Horizontal white text is above and below the image. Black horizontal ink marks are stamped across it.
Historical NoteThe donor mailed the stamp to Gerald R. Ford at his home in Rancho Mirage, California in 1982. In a letter to Ford, the donor specified the stamp was to be added to the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum’s collection. To celebrate the 200th anniversary of George Washington's birth, the United States Post Office issued a series of stamps that featured various portraits of him.Additional Details
