Physical Description(a) A light-colored wooden hand fan features an image of a horse spread across intricately carved ribs.

(b, c, d) A narrow rectangular box with transparent glass on the top and sides is decorated by green and gold fabric. The interior is cushioned with red fabric.

Custodial History NoteA foreign official gifted the item to First Daughter Susan Ford during the Ford Administration. It was presented to her and was maintained at the Executive Office of the President until its transfer to the National Archives in 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
