Mrs. Ford personally acknowledged receiving the gift on September 8, 1976.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to First Lady Betty Ford during the Ford administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President, and Betty Ford donated it to the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum in 2008.
