Physical DescriptionA doll is dressed in a pink apron over a blue dress, which has a variety of shapes on it. She wears a wide-brimmed straw hat decorated with clusters of pink yarn and has a pearl earring in each ear. Her proper left hand holds the neck of a brown jar as her proper right hand supports the bottom of it.Historical NoteThe President of the Republic of the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos, and his wife, First Lady Imelda Marcos, gave this doll to First Lady Betty Ford during her trip to the Philippines on December 6, 1975. Custodial History NoteA foreign official gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in September 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
