Physical DescriptionA red fabric bird Christmas ornament is outlined with green and purple embroidery. The outline of a wing is embroidered with purple thread and is filled in with pink roses made of yarn, which have green embroidered stems. Pink crotched yarn accents the bird's perimeter.Historical NoteThe item was sent by a member of the general public to President Gerald R. Ford and First Lady Betty Ford in December 1975.The item was received by the State Department and then transferred to the White House Gift Unit.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President. First Lady Betty Ford donated it to the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum in 2008.
