Physical DescriptionGolden trim accented with matching sequins and pearl-topped pins decorates a purple Styrofoam ball. Two pearls flank a golden rose bead that is attached to the bottom. A blue fabric loop is attached to the top.Historical NoteThe item was sent by a member of the general public to President Gerald R. Ford and First Lady Betty Ford in December 1975. Several Christmas cards, addressed to the President and his family, accompanied the ornament.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President. First Lady Betty Ford donated it to the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum in 2008.
