Physical DescriptionA large rectangular wooden trunk is covered in black fabric. There is a metal clasp on either side of the front and and six vertical rows of small speherical metal studs. A handle is attached to the proper left side.Historical NoteAs a teenager and young adult, Betty Ford used this trunk to transport her belongings during her travels. The labels and tags still visible on the trunk reveal one of Betty’s travel destinations, Camp Bryn Afon. Betty worked as a dance instructor for several summers at this all-girls, overnight summer camp in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.Additional Details
