Physical DescriptionA patchwork quilt features small beige, blue, and red squares arranged in a symmetrical design. A white floral print decorates the blue squares that near the edges of the quilt.
Historical NoteMrs. Mary E. Anthon made this quilt and gifted it to President Ford in 1974 as a souvenir from a fellow graduate of South High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in September, 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
