Physical DescriptionMachine-pieced and appliquéd quilt. Quilt is blue with 50 large white stars divided by a column of red and white stripes, creating an American flag motif. Inside the striped area is a red rectangle featuring a golden eagle appliqué. Eagle carries an inscribed banner its talons.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to President Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in September 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
