Physical Description(a-c) The covers of three identical royal blue stamp albums feature an outline of a bird against a golden background.

(d) A square royal blue box has a decorative silver clasp.
Historical NoteEdward Gierek, First Secretary of the Polish United Worker's Party and leader of Poland, gifted these stamp albums to President Ford. The albums are filled with Polish stamps from the 1960s to the early 1970s.Additional Details

Custodial History NoteA foreign official gifted the item to President Ford during his term in office. It was presented to him and was displayed with his stamp collection until 2007 when it was transferred to the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
