Physical DescriptionA floor-length, light green, A-line style dress with long sleeves and a V-neckline is covered with a layer of organza; green embroidered flowers and sequins decorate it.Historical NoteFrankie Welch created this replica dress after the original was donated to the Smithsonian Museum on June 16th, 1976. Betty Ford described this as her favorite dress. She wore it at a variety of state occasions, including the state dinner for the Shah of Iran and his wife May 15, 1975; the state dinner in Salzburg, Austria on June 1, 1975, the reciprocl Emperor's Dinner with the Japanese Emb., and the state dinner in honor of King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia of Spain on June 2, 1976.Additional Details
