Physical DescriptionA floor-length bright pink gown has long sleeves and a high neckline with a short vertical slit beneath it. It features a pattern of white lines varying in thickness and position throughout the fabric.
Historical NoteBetty Ford wore this dress during her time as First Lady, including to a performance of the musical Mack and Mabel at the Kennedy Center on September 4, 1975; a state dinner for Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto of Pakistan on February 5, 1975, and a state dinner and Rhine River cruise hosted by West German President Walter Scheel in Bonn, Germany on July 27, 1975.Additional Details
