Historical NoteThe item was personally presented by Mrs. Jose Perez, wife of Uruguay Ambassador Jose Perez, to First Lady Betty Ford in November 1975. The item was presented at the YMCA Fair at the Sheraton Park. The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum received the item in 2006. Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to First Lady Betty Ford during the Ford Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in September 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
