Physical DescriptionA floor-length, pleated, aqua gown has a boat neckline, long sleeves and is decorated with vertical rows of rhinestones sewn between the folds of each pleat.
Historical NoteBetty Ford wore this dress during her time as First Lady and after, including a dinner onboard Queen Elizabeth’s yacht, the HMS Britannia, in Newport, Rhode Island on July 10, 1976; the City of Hope Dinner, where the Spirit of Life Award was presented to actress and singer Helen Reddy on February 19, 1977; and the wedding of former Ford staffer Mary Fisher on October 10, 1977.Additional Details
