Physical DescriptionA white wooden purse features an American flag and drawings of figures associated with the Revolutionary War. Red and gold bands decorate the bottom edge, and blue and gold bands decorate the edge of the lid. Silver metal hardware on the lid is attached to a black plastic handle. A gold clasp is attached to the front.

Custodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in September 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
