Physical Description(a,b) Two golden temple lions encrusted with blue and red stones sit with their hind legs bent and their front legs straight. Their mouths are open, exposing white fangs.

Custodial History NoteA foreign official gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was processed through the President’s White House Office of Correspondence, White House Gift Unit in 1976 and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
