Historical NoteFirst Lady Tien Suharto of Indonesia gifted this bracelet to Susan Ford on July 5, 1975 when the Suartos with President Ford at Camp David. Later in the evening, President Ford returned to the White House for an early celebration of Susan's July 6th birthday.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to Susan Ford during the Ford administration. It was personally presented to her and was maintained at the Executive Office of the President until its transfer to the National Archives in 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
