Ford at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts on July 3, 1976. As the chairman of her late husband's ceramic studio, Edward Marshall Boehm, Inc., she had this object specially made for the President as a bicentennial gift.Additional DetailsCustodial History NoteThe general public gifted the item to President Gerald R. Ford during his term in office. It was presented to Ford and was maintained at the Executive Office of the President until its transfer to the National Archives in September 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
