Physical Description(a) A spherical silver vase decorated with a bird motif has a curved handle attached to a ring on each of its sides. It is supported by a circular base.Overall (box) H 11 1/4 in x W 7 3/4 in x D 6 in (28.6 cm x 19.7 cm x 15.2 cm )
(b) A tall box covered with blue fabric is split in three panels. The panel in the center is cushioned with blue fabric, and each panel adjacent to it is lined with white fabric. One is decorated with a gold seal and the other has a diagonal red and green ribbon adhered to it.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Gerald R. Ford during the Ford Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in 1981 for deposit with the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
